I recall reading a books by Lucy Diamond before however couldn't remember if they were my cuppa tea, turns out it's a yes!! Loved this one, it was an easy read but enough of a storyline to keep me intrigued, I felt the characters were described well enough for me to be able to know them and I had a connection with each one. Loved it and will definitely be picking up some more by this author.

Yasssss now this is what I'm talking about! I would never have picked this up! I figured #crimefiction wasn't my bag, how wrong was I! I loved this book from the start, the characters had stories to tell and I could picture them vividly, the story itself was complex and intricate but with enough energy and excitement to keep it moving and oh my I think I have a bit of a crush on #josephstark 😍

The first book in my #bookatoz challenge and I found it a bit meh - I got bored several times and it took an age for me to finish! I didn't find any of the characters particularly likable (although I feel that was the point) and that meant I just wasn't spurred to carry on! I did finish it as I hate leaving a book unread but wouldn't recommend d it to a friend

Yes yes yes! This was just my cuppa tea! Easy reading but with enough of a decent storyline to not be overly cheesey or naff! Loved the characters and didn't want it to finish! Beginning to realise the I love Matthews as an author so if to library today to see what else I can find ❤️

Mehso-so

Meh, I totally wanted to love this but it felt like a bit of a code to read :( it was a good enough story and there were several twists and turns but it just didn't seem to grab me and make me not want to put it down like other Koomson books have. That being said I did persevere and finish it and that must stand for something! 5/10

Loved loved loved this! Started reading it and immediately recognised koomson's writing style after forgetting how much I loved 'the ice cream girls'! Nika has a journey and a half and travelling it with her is like a roller-coaster. This one had me hooked from the very first page which is oh so rare for me! Will be looking at reading more of koomson's books this year!

Could. Not. Put. It. Down! This was a real page turner for me. None of the characters were particularly likeable but that added to the atmosphere of the crew being in such close quarters. I had a few tears towards the end, Dr Khan's baby! Being a mum myself I just couldn't even imagine what she was going through.

I really do love this series of books, and I'm the furthest from the type of person to pick up a book about zombies! 9/10 from me ❤️

I'm child free on a day off with no agenda for maybe the second time in 2 and a half years, I've painted my nails, the house is reasonably tidy and I'm taking some me time, soaking up the November sun on my lovely bed and just about to start this one!

9/10 - This was a real page turner (I read it in 2 days and I'm a busy mumma!), I wanted to work out what was going on and I felt for every single member of Eloise's family (and of course Eloise herself!). A great insight into the seriousness and complexity of mental health and a heartfelt story of motherhood ❤️

10/10 - we got this one from the library yesterday and we looked through it this morning, Elsie chose her activity she wanted to do and from what I could tell all activities seemed to require things you would have in the house! We've been Sat here for nearly an hour a day although our craft doesn't necessarily match the picture we have been entertained, focused and busy ❤️

Fancied something a little different so tried to void my normal if there is such a thing! But which one to choose first?

9/10 - This was everything I was expecting it to be. It was delightfully warm and cosy, a real sweet treat, but it also had a touch of grittiness to it. The story reflected how messy real life can be and how it sometimes feels like things are going at full steam and you can barely keep up! I had a few tears several times although that's not unusual these days! Really enjoyed it! #November #Christmas #goodread

Nipped into the library with the toddler today to pay my ridiculous fines for late returns... When did life get so busy? Elsie was desperate to race to the children's section so I quickly scanned the fast backs display and chose the one with the prettiest cover 😂 to be fair it looks like everything I'm craving right now of warmth and easy reading! Here goes!

I had heard great things about this book and picked it up at the library as it was part of the #buddyread but I really couldn't get stuck in to it and found myself skipping pages to just get an idea of what was happening and then read the ending! Not sure if it was a lack of pace or the tendency to provide too much detail but the story didn't keep me wanting for me and it felt like a chore to read.

Q84 I'm sorry to hear that because I have it sitting here waiting to be read. 7y
Rusty88 I've seen loads of great reviews about it so maybe it's just me! Definitely give it a go and see what you think! Personally I like reasonably fast paced books and find it hard to entertain or stick with ones that are a bit slow and those that don't grab me x 7y

I started slowly with this one, it was witty and fun but it didn't seem to have much substance. However It soon grabbed me as I fell deeper into the story and followed Maggie through her jumps and living her different lives. By the halfway point I couldn't put it down and finished the rest of the book in one evening! I cried several times and absolutely felt for Maggie. A touching book and a reminder that the grass isn't always greener!

Rusty88 @CoffeeAndABook did you get round to reading it at all? 7y
