Latest #audiobook listen. I'm really enjoying the voice, but I suspect I'm missing out on some great illustrations.

I love the rhythm in this poem. It's perfect for reading aloud. #poetry
A bit of fun in the form of an #audiobook. Reminds me of my own Midwestern roots.
Just started this morning on Libby. Really enjoying the app, and looking forward to enjoying the new listen! #audiobook
I really enjoyed this book! It wasn't exactly what I expected, but that being said, it was a pleasant surprise. Excellent character development, fun structure, and well worth the read. #historicalfiction

This book is so weird and I'm loving it. I particularly love those last two lines. #poetry
Cristin O'Keefe Aptowicz is one of my favorite poets of all time. She confirms in this book that my love is warranted. #poetry #writebloody
The first three stanzas of this book confirm that I made the right decision. #poetry #writebloody
Chicago shirt, Minnesota cat, reading about New York. Looking in on this beautiful kitty to make sure he doesn't get lonely, and loving what I'm reading in Kavalier & Clay! #kitty
It's been said that men seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses, but my husband definitely appreciates a bookworm in cheaters. Any thoughts on librarian stereotypes? Or the relative attractiveness of people in glasses? HM.
Favorite lines:
"We christened it with coffee spills." - 'Chrome Gravity'
"And somewhere, somebody turned a switch//and my city woke up without you." - 'Harrisburg'

Okay. So. I spent most of my time reading this book thinking, "I'm not sure about this. Do I want to keep reading?" Though I liked the concept of the struggling actress, there were moments that felt cliche to me. I felt kinda ambivalent about the romance but I DID tear up when their neighbor has a significant change in routine. Overall, mixed feelings.
I'm still not sure about this book, and yet I'm nearing the end. #Parachute seems to think it's a good time to drift off. #littenkitten #catsoflitsy
We're enjoying Saturday afternoon reading. Just me and Parachute the cat. #littenkitten #Parachute #catsoflitsy
I love, love, love this book. Read it for Amanda Palmer's song lyrics. Read it for her honesty. Read it for her concert tour stories. Read it for tales of her romance with Neil Gaiman. Read it for love. Read it for art. Read it for asking. #TheArtofAsking #justread #makegoodart
I'm still reading The Art of Asking, and still loving everything about Amanda Palmer's writing voice. Yesterday, I completed my bouquet made from Harry Potter pages. #bookcraft #bouquet
I needed something suspenseful, and this fits the bill! It's helping break my audiobook drought!
"A balanced artist knows when to hide in The Garret, when to throw the windows open, and when to venture out into the hallway to the kitchen, where society exists. Most important is the understanding that there are no rules--what works on one day, for one song, won't work the next." (221) #art #creativity #makegoodart

Beautiful writing. Why we need intersectional feminism. #ReadersResist
"I didn't know the difference between movies and real life. In my life, they tended to overlap. Cary Grant (yes, the Cary Grant) became a family friend, even though he wasn't precisely that. And characters that my mother played in movies became confused with the person who was and is my mother. So in a way, movies became home movies. Home became another place in the movie star map."
"Mostly we realized it was about leaving the doors and windows of the relationship wide-open enough. That way, he could see in, and I could see out." #love
"My silences had not protected me. Your silence will not protect you." (41) #feminism #ReadersResist
Amanda Palmer is speaking to my very soul. #poetkoala #art
This audiobook is so stinking good. The narrator's accents and voices are so fun. #audiobook
Excited to start this today! Enjoying the voice so far, and snickering about the Harry Potter similarities! Although it's probably more of a midpoint between Harry Potter and The Magicians. #audiobook
Done. Whew! I didn't finish anything, but I started 11 books following the theme of #ReadersResist to help me learn more about politics and feminism. Wow, that was exhausting, but I did it! :D #24in48 #24in48readathon
"For women, then, poetry is not a luxury. It is a vital necessity of our existence. It forms the quality of the light within which we predicate our hopes and dreams toward survival and change, first made into language, then into idea, then into more tangible action." "Our national parks are blood. They are more than scenery, they are portals and thresholds of wonder, an open door that swings back and forth from our past to our future." (14)

"Despite our many distinctions as a democracy, the enduring debate over who can and cannot participate in it remains a key feature of our national character." (11-12)

I am PUMPED for #24in48 readathon! I'm excited to cycle through everything and see what catches my attention! #readersresist #bookworm #24in48readathon
Working on ideas for #24in48 Readathon next weekend, and thinking it will be high time for some #ReadersResist reading. It's a wee bit nonfiction heavy, so I'll need to see what I can find to give me some more variety.
After finishing the audiobook for The Wrath and the Dawn yesterday, it became extremely important to start on the sequel. I'm SO excited to stay with these characters longer. #audiobook
Here it is, blind date with a book for RA midyear training! The wrapping is done, hope the staff likes it! Any books you're interested in? #bookworm #reslife #blinddate
The problem with running the Date with a Book self-care session and borrowing books from coworkers is that my coworkers don't realize these books won't be returned until they've been read. By me. #bookwormproblems #tbr
