While tragic, the way Kalanithi documents his journey and the literary expression makes the book flow beautifully and engages the reader. Kalanithi captivates you throughout this journey and offers raw and unfiltered insight that impacts the reader. Another positive of this book is that it helped me realize that death is inevitable. Kalanithi shows through his own bravery that living in fear is not how we should approach life.
Basically, Scott describes Radical Candor as a management style and culture that values the combination of challenging directly and caring personally. One thing I love about this book is that it draws on examples from famous companies such as Google, Twitter, and Facebook. I really enjoyed the anecdotal stories that Scott shares in this book as they are extremely relevant and add to the credibility of her message.
Truly insightful and honest reflection on the story of Nike.
Read it in two days. Great story telling. Eye opening insight into how our brains work. I think anyone seeking to improve or simply understand their thought and decision making process should consider reading this book.
