I love a good old enemies-to-lovers premise. And I don‘t mind the odd cheesy book, and can even overlook an author using the word ‘smirk‘ 500 times in one book.
But jeez, Becca was a struggle to read. It is obvious to everyone, including the reader, that Ryan likes her and she is so oblivious. It makes her come across completely vacuous, especially as most of the book is about her love for Charlie which never felt even the slightest bit real.
