While I did enjoy reading, I felt like elements were from a bad Lifetime movie. The unreliable narrator was very effective, and I thought the build up was intense.

It‘s such a fun guilty pleasure. It‘s like watching a Bravo Housewives. Definitely not a thinker but a good book club pick.

I wanted to like this one more than I did. :( The imagery was beautiful and the setting and characters were quirky. It just took me forever to get into the mystery.

Finished it with one hour to spare before it got returned to the virtual library! The first half was pretty dry, and I found myself only listening for 10 or 15 minutes at a time. The second half I finished in a single day. Overall, I enjoyed the story from the two perspectives and it had the right amount of suspense.

I loved this book! The team of kids, the magic, and the impending epic battle sucked me in! I also enjoyed the setting of Nigeria. Aside from Chinua Achebe, this is the only other title I‘ve read set in Nigeria. I need to find more.

How could I not love this book. As a GG super fan, this was a dream to learn more about the sets, scripts, and people who made it a magical show. I also now may finally watch Parenthood.

Ok, I freaking loved this book. A sweet romance about two kids needing to be true to themselves. Additionally, I loved all the talk about girls hearing they shouldn't like sex, or that they shouldn't be in the driver's seat regarding their sexuality. The book does so much to show this is utter nonsense! As a high school librarian, this book has a lot of sex, which makes be a little leery; however, the characters and story need to be shared!

A powerful and necessary read. These stories of sexual violence, abuse, and harmful relationships can help others.

While this isn't my favorite title from Ware, I thought the story was interesting and was pulled right along to find out the truth.

Did anyone else notice how many times the author said the word "room?" Maybe I'm the only one because I listened to this book, but I could have made a drinking game out of it--and been quite successful. Otherwise, I thought the story was interesting but fell a little flat.

This book definitely kept me interested; however, I just didn't care much for the characters. Kim was over-bearing and cold. Her husband was distant. The story had me thinking a lot about the teenage years and how to parent in a way that is present but not smothering...

I think was a great book to listen to on my work commute. I liked Grace as the narrator, though I felt she would have reached some of the conclusions sooner with how intelligent her character is.

Blah! This book was just no good. While there were a couple of twists, the "surprise" ending was pretty easy to figure out. I also just didn't enjoy Olivia or Kate as characters.

Maybe I'm just not there anymore. A cute coming-of-she story for sure, but I just didn't connect with any of the characters. I loved the diversity of the characters, and the book had a satisfying ending.

Is it just me, or did the girls popping light bulbs and such piece fall apart? I keep feeling like I was a bad reader this time or something. This story just didn't hold my attention as I hoped it would. There was some chemistry between Moran and Conway. I guess I just wanted more.

This was a great spring break read. Plenty of twists and turns. I will definitely be book talking this one for students who are looking for a mystery that keeps them on their toes!

Listening to this one was so fun! Multiple tense moments, great twists, and a fun setting aboard an ultra-luxurious cruise liner.

I feel like I'm on a roll! I freakin' loved Simon. His story of coming out was realistic, sometimes painful, and a powerful lesson on acceptance! Could I please be like Simon's parents??

This book is insane in the best way possible! It reminded me a lot of Kill Bill. While I am not going to be book talking this in the high school, I will be pushing it to my mature readers who are ready for a wild story!

This was such a fun read! Certain plot points were figured out pretty early, but it didn't detract from the story. With the HBO miniseries out, it's a great chance to get together with friends and talk book vs. movie!

This books is powerful, heartbreaking, and thought provoking. I cannot begin to understand all the Ta-Nehisi has experienced and the wisdom he is trying to impart to his son, but I want to. This is essential reading for every American.

Listening to Neil Gaiman was just as delicious as the story itself! A tale that is equal parts spooky and thought-provoking. I always find myself wanting to spend more time in the worlds Gaiman creates. A must read.

This was really fun! I loved listening to the relationship dynamic between the two couples. Plus, I felt like the author had a good handle on the people in DC.

1st book of 2017 and a win!! I loved the historic details from the Salem Witch Trials while creating an interesting, fun story. Many of the details reminded me of Hocus Pocus, which is never a bad thing! #hotghosts

So, this is 50! With the hundreds of pages in reading for graduate school plus endless children's books, I thought my favorite could count as my 50th book this year. This is such a fun, silly book. My kids' favorite line was "boo boo butt".

Is it ok to hug a book after it's over? The story of Melinda is so powerful and agonizing that I just couldn't put it down. Seventeen years since first published and just as relevant today. Melinda suffers a sexual assault and deals with the aftermath. Will she learn to speak up?

All I want for Christmas is...to read this book again for the first time! I can't wait to recommend this to others. It was quirky and unusual, but the story is timeless. I just loved Charlie.

This book was just plain fun! The mystery was intriguing, there were characters you wanted as friends, and enough jokes to keep smiling through the story. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the second installment!

Oh, God, why did I let my love of celebrity gossip drive my desire to read this pitiful excuse of a book?! I suffered through the entire thing, even though I wasted too many hours of my life. Destined to be in the bargain bin if not there already! Never again!

How can you not fall in love with Sol? And Clark? Even Lisa. The anxiety attacks Sol endures is an issue with many of my high school students, so I was happy to discover more about anxiety attacks.

Such a powerful read! Made me think about raising my daughter to take care of herself and be a strong person.

This was a fast read I recommended to all my high school students during book talks. The story sucks you in and there are enough "naughty" bits to keep my teens reading. ?

Love listening to books by comedians. While there were moments that were a little slow, I found I couldn't wait to get in the car to hear another hilarious chapter.

I can't pan anything Harry Potter! I loved revisiting favorite characters, and I would love to see this on stage. Not quite as magical as the novels, but definitely worth the read.

This one was fantastic! I got the rec from a librarian-led book talk. A husband received an email revealing details about an event only his wife would know; however, she has been dead for eight years. Great plot twists!

While the writing was fantastic, the story was just gut-wrenching. It was a book that I loved reading but I am so glad I don't have to cry anymore.

A boy who knits! A hilarious, sweet, and quirky read. Ben was such an enjoyable narrator--one that you'd like to take for a friendly drink when he was older. Not Martini Rosso!
