Loved it! Rhe lore, the worldbuilding: amazing.
New favourite author unlocked. I was in awe of the worldbuilding in this book and profoundly moved throughout.
I randomly took this from the lubrary and got hooked! I was deeply engaged throughout, though I wish the ending had been a little bit different.
I deeply enjoy Natasha Pulleys plots and this one was no exception. Though I feel like her main characters have very similar voices and the books tend to follow the same beat. The ending felt rushed, which i felt with The Kingdoms as well. Nevertheless once i return this to the library, i will also make the rrip to the bookstore to pick up my own physical copy!
Interesting, well-researched read. In the beginning i kept having to go back to check where id read that name before, but i was sucked in before long. It quite inspired me!
Read in one afternoon at the beach. Sweet and uplifting but at times predictable. Nevertheless had me sobbing multiple times, so it did manage to hit the right snares!
There were some parts I deeply enjoyed, prose wise, others felt out of place and awkward. Nevertheless a pick, im curious about the movie now.
I would give this book a 7/10. I thought it started ofd a bit slow; I actually liked the middle the best!
More interesting than I expected it to be! I enjoyed the alternating povs and the little realistic snippets of live. Great details everywhere!
Same week as GTN. Throughout my least favourite of the bunch, but at the end it turned out I loved it.
Read this in the same week as GTN, so this is a late review. I really like about this book that I liked it even more in hindsight. Excited for the reread.
I enjoyed it. Some of this due to it being the conclusion to a series that's been with me through teenagedom. Great characters and satisfying read.
A SF classic. Totally sucked into the world, found it surprisingly easy to read. Great to read while in a warm place.
I wish there was an option that would do this more justice than 'pick'. Ibwas already excited for my reread, not even half-way through the book. I will race to the bookstore to go and get myself the second book of the series, and be devastated if they dont have it.
All throughout i didn't feel like I was really enjoying it, but I couldn't put it down either. One of those books that will probably stay with me for a long time.
First off, I loved this book!
It's kept me thinking since i finished it. The first part of the book felt a little slow and it took me some time to get into. The plot/writing were great, but the MC did not feel like he had a unique voice (similar to Watchmaker etc). Great side characters, though. The plottwist was unecessary and i feel it mightve had more heart-wrenching if Joe's identity had been clear earlier on. The ending felt somewhat rushed.
A great cast of characters. I found myself deeply moved multiple times throughout the book. Would reccomend!
Kept me guessing until the last page. I enjoyed the plot but the characters will not stay with me.
I absolutely loved this book. I picked it up because of a recommendation, one that I'd like to pass on to everyone. Station Eleven takes place in a post apocalyptic world. It's exciting and sad and hopeful and insightful. Once i started reading I really was unable to put it down. One of my favorites!
I got this book as a gift. It took me a while to get into it, because this book is not one i would have picked out myself. There are a lot of facts about bees. Around the halfway point I really got into it and finished in one sitting
I found it difficult to get into this book, but after the first few chapters I really enjoyed it.
