This memoir about a young woman's 'journey through madness' as she battles with schizophrenia, ultimately triumphing to become a tenured law professor at USC. Beautifully written. I discovered this book when it was assigned to my daughter's literature and psychosis class. She loved it as well.

Although I'm only on page 8, I can already tell I will enjoy this as thoroughly as I did Ms. Brower's first book, The Residence, about the behind the scenes White House life as shared by staffers who served from the Kennedys through the Obamas. A delightful not at all kiss and tell inside look.

This might have been the first book I literally threw across the room and never finished. Very well written, but I realized I just didn't give a f**k about a single character. I disliked them all.

This book about a girl/woman who repeatedly dies and is reborn in a number of ways and how she changes the history of her past had been in my 'to read' pile for quite some time. Glad I finally picked it up! "Darkness fell"

Absolutely charming read about a grumpy Scandinavian man who finds his way in the world again. No spoilers - this story unfolds beautifully. One of my favorite books of the year so far

Having spent part of last summer in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, this book really captures the uniqueness of each of the countries comprising Scandinavia. Also a quite entertaining read with some serious laugh out loud moments.
