I'm really burning through the audiobooks this week. This one was SO GREAT. PLEASE READ IT.

I also liked that it was read by Christian Coulson, who played Tom Riddle in Chamber of Secrets, so it was like babyface Voldemort was reading it to me. That took a minute to get used to.

Yesterday after I finished Shiny Broken Pieces, I started Blood, Bones, and Butter. Today I finished it.

I start grad school in January, and the thought of losing so much leisure reading time has sent me into a frenzy of trying to get more books under my belt and off my TBR lists. So I'm off to the library website now for the next audiobook. Whatever it may be.

I started volunteering at the library in April. Today is the first time I have ever seen the youth shelving emptied out.

My first gasp of post-wedding reading! At the laundromat. These newlyweds could use some fresh socks and stuff. It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks! But boy, am I happy.

Starting my fourth audiobook in a week! There's a big, boring mailing at work, so I'm just stuffing envelopes and listening to the story of these women. #audiobook

Just finished my third audiobook in two weeks! This one was for book club. Kind of a weird book to listen to the week before my wedding! Here's hoping the secrets in my marriage will be a lot more boring.

In the interest of getting things unpacked, my beloved Muppet of a man decided to go ahead and intermingle some of our books. I don't know how I feel about it, even though we're getting married in less than a month. Yes, I am happy just to get things unpacked, and yes, I was planning to rearrange after things got settled anyway, but still. What if the books aren't ready for this step?

I was not expecting a leopard to appear in this Norwegian epic.

I like it.

I'm getting married in September, and instead of doing table numbers, every table gets a different book that we loved as a child.

Harriet the Spy was my favorite favorite favorite as a kid, and I wouldn't be the person I am today without this book. So I treated myself to a first edition. 😄

We're at a friend's family's house by the river for the 4th, having a quiet moment in between swimming in the river and eating so much food, and then we'll have fireworks by the bonfire tonight.

This epic tome is my summer reading, and embracing this quiet moment, because when we get back, our lives are going to ramp up hard. Our wedding is in less than 3 months, we're moving and I'm applying to grad school. Big things are happening.

It's been crazy lately, but I'm about to get a four day weekend with friends, so I made them macarons. My first attempt! And they came out mostly ok! I think Mary Berry would be proud.

Paul would just silently stare at me, but Mary would applaud the effort, at least. Not bad at all for a first try.

Stuffing envelopes for a giant mailing at work means audiobook for me! I couldn't resist this one. This series is so very right up my alley.

My friends, fellow Gilmore Girls fans, gave me this book almost a year ago for my birthday, and I'm FINALLY reading it. It's pretty great so far! It feels like somewhere between P.G. Wodehouse and Armistead Maupin, but written by a woman. Really enjoyable so far, and I love the characters. I can't wait to see what'll happen to them all.

Guess what I'm doing this Saturday! My first standardized test in 13 years! Wheeeee! I'm kicking ass at the vocabulary, though.

And up there in the corner is the book I'd much rather be reading right now.
