I did not expect this book to be as good as it was! I even cried a few times. Like, real tears! Dog eared a few pages, wrote some quotes down and have already passed it along for others to read! SO GOOD!!

Well, that was MUCH better than I expected! Like all crime novels, you've got to get past the laying of the foundation at the start, but when it picks up, It keeps you into it! Galbraith, aka Rowling, does well to develop the main character into a great lead! Something she excels at! I was pleasantly surprised by this book and have/will continue to recommend to others!

Kerouac has this way with the words in his stories that always make me want to just abandon my life and head out on a grand adventure. While it didn't illicit the great longing that stayed with me after On the Road, it still brought with it an urge to get out and see something I had never seen before. Finished on my flight home from Alabama and I honestly have no idea what I just read. It was mostly just a jumble of words that sometimes made sense but mostly made absolutely no sense whatsoever. I 100% understand why it was a banned book, and if I believed in book censorship I would say it probably should still be banned. I have been made more stupid by reading this book and can't believe I actually allowed myself to finish it. #NakedLunch

Who says good reading can't also include pictures? The life lessons you can learn from Calvin and Hobbes are AMAZING! This has been my pre-bedtime read for a while now. Just finished it and LOVED IT! I've gotten in the habit of starting books when I have NO time. This one took longer than I wanted it to, but I'm glad to be done. This book made me realize I've grown out of the YA genre. This was the kind of book I would recommend to my nephews and nieces and they would love it. As an adult book, I found the writing and the story line to be juvenile. I don't think I'd recommend it to adults, but definitely to YA's! #RansomRiggs

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from this book. I'm a Kerouac fan but have never read anything by Burroughs. Turned out to be a pretty clever book. I loved the peek into the bohemian lifestyle of the 1940's. The different POV's were annoying at first but by the end it broke up any monotony (which there was little of). Um, what the heck Paula Hawkins? I literally started this book about 5 hours ago and could not put it down until I had finished it! AMAZING!!! I loved the development of the characters and the twisting and turning of the story lines! Not to mention a true look at the dysfunctional life of alcoholics! So good! Well, I will say this about Charles Bukowski, he knows how to develop a character. I usually love Bukowski, but this one was just pointless. Details the hard reality of the job crisis during the war and post war...but the main character...his laziness and brashness just got annoying. I'd say just pass, unless you're a big Bukowski fan. #CharlesBukowski

I mistakingly started this book right before study week for finals and finals week. This book that should have taken 2-3 days took me 2 weeks. Not that the material was boring, in fact, it's quite interesting and full of useful bits of information. If you are in a leadership position this is a good book to read. Listen, if you're going into this thinking you're going to be reading something with the caliber of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' I will tell you that you will be displeased. If you harbor no expectations than you will be pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable this book is! A wicked fast read, incredibly interesting and sometimes shocking. To Preface, I LOVE Miranda Hart. I love her as a comedian, as an actress and as a person she seems rather genuine...I'm just not a fan of Miranda Hart, Author. It's not hard to get through and it's definitely got a few decent laughs, which is a bit of a plus, but I wish I wouldn't have tainted the omnipotence of Miranda with her book. I thought I was in for a long haul through the introduction of the characters and an explanation of the conditions of the people (I've never been much for the dystopia-esque books). This defied my expectations! It took me about 40/50 pages to adjust to the script format and the new characters but after that...HOOKED! I couldn't put it down!
