Lup wanted a book from the top shelf!
A wild Friday night with Lup! The second week back at school was a little rough, so I‘m practicing some self-care by revisiting the world of Tortall.
I'm loving this book in audio form. The narrator is just the right amount of expressive, and Simon has made me laugh out loud several times!
Fun Photo Friday @Liberty I try to keep at least one nonfiction book going because I have a bad habit of only wanting to read fiction! The section on how the gut is related to anxiety was of particular interest to me. A great science read that doesn't get too technical!
I absolutely love these covers. If you haven't read anything by Tamora Pierce, I think these are a great place to start! Daine is a multifaceted heroine who can talk to animals. These books deal with issues like prejudice, identity, finding your place, and so much more. A great summer read!
This book will definitely appeal to readers who love YA dystopian novels. Personally, I didn't think it really added much to the genre. The two mains, June and Day, are a little too perfect. The military state's motives a little vague. But it was a fun read and laid a foundation for a good series!
