This is my first Karin Slaughter book, and holy shit… I cannot unsee what I read in this book. Im going to have nightmares for weeks. Are they all like this? She‘s a fantastic writer, but I‘m kind of scared to start another one!!
I like this book and understand it was written in the 90‘s, but I can‘t handle the amount of times he‘s used the word retarded, and I‘m only halfway through.

I really wanted to purchase this book to add it to my bookshelf but before I could, my hold came off for the library. The inner struggle was real, but I couldn‘t not start. Loving it so far!
so-soThe only thing I knew about this book when I started it, was that it was old and a dystopian novel. I was not prepared. It was good, but I wasn‘t obsessed. Borderline pedophilic which was awkward, but overall I didn‘t hate it (the book, not the pedophilia).
