I enjoyed this book and thought it did a wonderful job at bringing mental illness to the forefront and protraying it hoenstly and brutally. I would definitely recommend for anyone with an interest in mental illnesses and even narrative structure.

I really enjoyed this book despite being hesitant when I first started it. Brillliant characterisation and topics that will no doubt keep me thinking for a very long time.
2018 for me is all about perspective, looking at things differently and in a new way because, usually, things aren't as bad as they first appear and it makes things much more interesting and unique.
These 5 sentences gave a perspective of time; 500 years is a very long time but, in conjunction with the age of the earth itself, it is nothing. It made me feel insignificant, my 80+ years (hopefully!) is nothing but a breath in the earth's timeline.

It was ok bur I felt like she was saying so much without saying anything at all. In the end (due to me having another 11 books to read for my Masters) I looked up the rest online and I'm so glad I didn't read it all the way through. The reason given for how the murders happened is absolutely ridiculous. I'm glad I bailed in the end. #bookreview #DNF

It was a good set of poems, however, I felt the author was trying to recreate the emotion of her last piece of work so threw everything into it. It wasn't as refined as Milk and Honey which I loved. Some lovely poems but it didn't work as well.

Such an interesting word. I love the tone and syntax of this sentence, so casual and yet the subject matter is heartbreaking.

What a beautiful, breathtaking story that perfectly portrays grief, life and the death in all of its uncertainty. One of the best books I've read this year.

A very easy, enjoyable read. Reminds me of Agatha Christie's 'And Then There Were None' and I really enjoyed the characters and was left rooting for them all. The reveal wasn't wow for me but didn't really take away from the whole story.

1* for this book. Characters were bland, storyline was incredibly slow, it hadn't picked up over 200 pages in. Was a DNF for me.

Well this book was just beautiful. I loved it. The description that the writer lends to this book is stunning; I can see the colours, I can smell and taste the food, it was just a feast for the senses.

This is one of the most important works of this decade. I'm never one to impress a book on someone but everyone needs to read this.
I'm heartbroken and apologetic and shocked that this is happening in our world. This book is heartbreaking and waves of shock just keep hitting you when you realise this book is not a work of fiction. A must-read for everyone!
Another brilliant Christie book. It kept me guessing until the very end, I really couldn't work it out and that's why I love her writing. I'm going to go into the corner and sulk at Christie who I can see sat in her chair, grinning at the fact she fooled me once again!
