A bit of a "letdown" after the previous. Not a disappointment, just less gleefully frenetic, more introspective. Our little Harry is growing up.

Harry reanimated a frickin' T-Rex. It's like Jim Butcher knows where all my inner 12 year old's buttons are. LOVE.

Death Masks | Jim Butcher
Pickpick

Belated review. Death Masks is cool but it didn't stand out for me. The "lore" is starting to truly fill in though. Solid entry to the series. This review may be colored by the fact that it's coming after I already started Death Rites and that one has knocked me out so far with the funny.

The series really kicks into high gear in Grave Peril. Book is obviously setting up a letter arc, but nonetheless remains interesting on its own.

A lot of fun. The continuing story is really coming into its own now. Harry's wit and wits are on full display.
