Not what I expected but such a fun read!!!
Not what I expected but such a fun read!!!
What a beautifully written book about love, life and friendship. A must read!
There are no words for how good this book is! It left me in tears ( both happy and sad). It is worth every page!!!!

It's like reading Notting Hill, sleepless in Seattle and Bridgette Jones diary all wrapped up into one!
All I can say is wow!!! This book kept me in suspense from the first page to the last. It is so smart and so well written. I love reading a book that leads you down a path, so perfectly choreographed that it's like a dance. No detail was overlooked, and I wasn't left with any questions or inconsistencies 5 stars. Thank you to netgalley for the ARC of this book
#Augustphotochallenge #tbr I'm currently reading this book and Americanah. I Could not find two more different books but I needed something light to balance the heavy of Americanah. I'm planning on reading Little life and Evelyn Hugo@as well!!!
When the dogs want to know what your son is reading
When you are at the playground and can't help recommending an awesome book.... #humifyoudontknowthewords #biancamarais
It's not a long book but it was a well written thriller. It kept me on my toes from the very beginning ( so much so that I actually had to read the last chapter before I could finish reading-I'm the worst!). I hoped the story wouldn't be convoluted into something silly and it wasn't. It's about a mother who will doing anything to find her kids. I could see being made into a great movie. 4 stars. Thank you to blogging for books for my free copy!
So many books,so little time!!!! What book should I use my Prime Day $5 on? I've been reading thrillers lately: the child, here and gone.....Another thriller or something different?
A familiar pose for me as I start this book! I can't wait for this book!
From the first page to the last, this book didn't stop moving. Definitely a pick for a great thriller.
So excited to start this book? Who's read it?
#footsteps #sharpobjects #todaywillbedifferent #mynameislucybarton a month of books in review
www.beyondthebookends.com is giving away two copies of this amazing book!!!!!
I think my biggest problem with this book is the disconnect between what the book is about and the book description. This book is not magical and spellbinding. That is a wrong choice of words. To me, this book was a tragedy and I hated every part of the ending. I didn't feel the author provided a good enough explanation for some of Rose's behavior and for me, it almost nullified the rest of the book.
We are so excited to announce we have a giveaway!!! #humifyoudontknowthewords #mustread #putnam #biancamarais go to www.beyondthebookends.com for details. You can also follow us on Instagram. Good luck!!!!!
This book also fell along the same lines as When Dimple Met Rishi. It was a fun book to listen to. Kirsten and I loved the Paper Princess Series also by Erin Watt and we had mixed feelings about this book. It didn‘t quite live up to our expectations but, I really enjoyed it. It's the book version of a soap opera!!!!
I wasn‘t prepared for how good this audio book would be. It's one of the best books that I have ever listened to -more like a play rather than a book. Mitch Albom read the part of the narrator (Music) who is telling the story of the life of a fictional guitar player named Frankie Presto. At his funeral, musicians like Ingrid Michaelson and Lyle Lovett tell stories about his life. It was a wonderful book and I enjoyed listening to every minute!

Even though I was an adult and an avid reader when this came out, it still changed my life. Thanks you to JK Rowling for turning millions of children into readers!!!!
A book and tea anyone? ( iced for summer, obviously)
I loved the first two books in this series and for some reason I found this book only so-so. Not what I was hoping it would be....
Today is kids book review day and this was a month of sequels for us. If this book looks familiar to you, its because you probably know its beloved older brother Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site. My kids actually got this back in April, but their recent obsession with Playmobil has reignited their interest in books related to construction. This one introduces 4 new characters to the Construction Site.
I can't neglect to mention a great kids book when I find it!!!! Morris the mole has always been different but he embraces it. The moral of this story is twofold: embraces your differences and small creatures can do great things. I love it!
I love how this book explores creativity as opposed to artistic talent.
All I can say is wow! Thank you so much for this ARC. This is a truly phenomenal book. And while it's written about A very difficult and recent time in our history, it somehow doesn't preach. It is a beautiful story about a nine-year-old white girl and a black woman whose lives become intertwined. I truly feel it is a must read. It is funny, heart-wrenching and impeccably written. This is a Stunning accomplishment in writing.
I had the pleasure of reading this book and I absolutely loved it. This is a perfect summer time read with just the right amount of romance, conflict, mystery and magic.
It‘s light, well-written and has just the right amount of magic. A Million Junes is a Young Adult novel; however, it doesn‘t feel juvenile or silly. I love reading a good young adult book to mix it up especially in the summer.
I think my issue with this book was that I listened to it on an audio book. While this can sometimes enhance the book, in this case, I found it difficult to listen to. The voices sounded fake and overacted so that the conversations sounded forced. I really wanted to like this book.
