I am not especially into lexicography, but I found this book fascinating. Winchester articulates the mind-boggling scope and significance of this task without getting too deeply into the weeds (okay, he gets hip-deep once or twice). The case of the madman in question is treated with sensitivity and compassion. A short and compelling read; can't wait to pick up more of Winchester's books.
