286 pages. I really did not want it to end. I am way past the age the book is dedicated for, but who the hell can be too old for friendship overcoming obstacles, first loves, and a teenage dramas overwhelmed with mental health? A story from a different angle that really enriched me.

Audiobook of this is $5.99 on Apple Books right now. I guess Kate Rudd is going to read this to me now...well, eventually. lol

Rachel.Rencher I loved this one! 5y
GingerAntics @Rachel.Rencher I‘ve heard a bunch of good things from so many good people. When I saw it on sale I had to get it. 5y
Scochrane26 I love this for a few reasons, but mainly because it gives a lot of insight into ocd/anxiety. A ya book that handles mental illness in a responsible way. (edited) 5y

GingerAntics @Scochrane26 I‘ve wanted to read this book because I‘ve seen a bunch of really good reviews, but I didn‘t know anything about the OCD element until I read a review in Apple Books. I didn‘t know anything about the anxiety aspect until you mentioned it. Those things are making me want to read this book even more. I‘m glad it was done responsibly, as well. I was a little worried about if it was going to be a good portrayal or stigmatise it. 5y
Scochrane26 @GingerAntics I think John green based it a lot on his own experiences w/ anxiety/ocd. Apparently, he went through a rough time after his first books were published. 5y
GingerAntics @Scochrane26 that‘s awesome! We definitely need more of that sort of portrayal of mental illness in the world! 5y

John Green has a way of relating to the younger generation. As a high school student, I don‘t think a quote has ever been more true.

110% the best book I've ever read. I've always loved John Greens novels, but this? This book made me feel seen. It deals with a mental disorder that Aza Holmes has to learn to cope with, the same one I have, and it's written so beautifully. I've never related to a character as much as I have Aza. I loved this so much!! #turtlesallthewaydown #johngreen

I'm having a bit of a reading slump at the moment, and somehow just not in the mood to finish #WhatIfItsUs. So going to start this new book by Hank Green. I love his brother #JohnGreen's #TheFaultInOurStars & #TurtlesAllTheWayDown & like their YouTube channel (introduced to me by my daughter) So far it's very interesting and totally not what I've expected! 😄

"...and no one ever says good-bye unless they want to see you again." - John Green

I've never read TFIOS, and probably never will (I sometimes staunchly oppose reading super popular books ?‍♀️), but Looking for Alaska holds a bit of my soul, so I gave TATWD a shot. Glad I did. Before I knew it, I was down to the last page and half and had tears in my eyes. If you appreciate LFA or The Perks of Being a Wallflower, I recommend TATWD. ???

I don't know what it is about contemporaries but when I read them I absolutely devour them!
Read this whole one yesterday

This was only my second John Green (the other being the Fault in our Stars), and the same thing happened where I really enjoyed it in the moment but looking back it seems like more of a Meh 🤷‍♀️ Giving a Pick for readability

Naj Nice review. Fault in our stars is the only John Green book I like out of the three I have read. Looking back on his books, I feel like all of them are the same. They follow a similar formula, each one just a medium for Green to philosophize about a different topic. "Meh" is a good way to describe them. 6y
plemmdog I liked this one a lot but agree it‘s not as satisfying as the others, primarily because the narrator isn‘t always likeable. But I felt it really portrays mental illness quite well 6y

Finished in less than 24 hours, Turtles All the Way Down is AMAZING. I really appreciate the realistic way in which mental health issues are approached. This book represents so many people and what they struggle with everyday. LOVE. ❤️

Rated it 4/5 on goodreads :)
