I was a teenager when Tupac was shot, and this book put me back in a very specific timeframe while reading it.

The friendship between the three girls felt so real. I love how Woodson used Tupac's music and life as a timeline of sorts for the girls.

Another beautifully written book by this author. 💚

This was my first book that finished ! 2020 LETS GOOO!! 🍾 I really liked this book. I don‘t usually read fiction but this was nice. I do kind of wish it was longer and had like a plot twist to it maybe with like some kind of major secrecy.... Idk.. it was good. THUMBS UP 👍🏼

Taking a break from my chunkster to read some of Tupac‘s deeply personal thoughts in his collection of poetry.

Holler If You Hear Me (2006) | Michael Eric Dyson

I inhaled this audiobook! Fascinating, but then considering it was about Tupac and written by MED, I'm not surprised. Hearing about the life of Tupac, and the huge variety of influences, juxtaposed with my recollections of "The Hate You Give," made me reconsider some things. Great, great read.

Just started listening to this, and really, really glad I did. It is fascinating and educational in so many ways. Be warned, though, if you are potty mouth averse. I'm keeping the office door closed and turn it off when someone enters. No hostile work environment accusations for me!😳😱😬
