pickThe latest in the series finds Tempe in DC, asked to assist with the aftermath of a fire. It‘s a good addition to the series, with a fun wink at Bones. I didn‘t love the audio, though, which I thought was read a bit dry. I will warn potential readers that there is a brief but very frank description of what happens to human bodies in fire, which might be too much for some right now.

This one was a soft pick for me. I enjoyed the way it was taken to the north west territories of Canada (a good option for a reading around the world or Canada challenge). I was a little underwhelmed with the story, and the lack of interaction between Tempe and Ryan, or the other subsidiary characters in the series.
