Many. Those that stand out are those I got to listen to speak for a long time or share a meal or long conversation : Amy Lee-Tai , Jason Reynolds, Jazz Jennings, Yusef Salaam, Lindy West(had us in hysterics) I would love to meet Judy Blume ♥️.

Today, I‘m sharing a reading pillow I preordered from Book Beau. I chose this because I like Sunflowers. It‘s very soft. This will be perfect for me if I want to use it to take a nap or prop up a physical book I‘m reading. I think it could also be used to hold up my e reader or tablet.

This last week has seen the sunflowers bloom in my garden as summer begins and the beach beckons!! I‘m reading Esme Lennox which I haven‘t found as engaging as Hamnet was, but I‘m only half way through. Hope your getting some reading done during this busy time!

Floofy bees at the flower farm! 🌻💛
Week 2: 9,759 points for #TeamMonsterMash @StayCurious #scarathlon2022
Total: 11,500
Books read: Shadow Glass, The Collective, Taproot, An Elderly Lady Is Up To No Good, and The Test.
Managed to get some items knocked off my bucket list and watched a couple of movies. Also I totally forgot to add my word search points last week so I tacked them on to this week's total. Can't believe week two is already over!
A friend took up painting during one of Melbourne‘s many lockdowns - and I was the lucky recipient of this one - the lesser known (as it‘s in the hands of a private owner) version of VVG‘s sunflowers… maybe there are some advantages to having a December birthday… I think I‘ve found the perfect spot for it - but TBD!
#CuriousCovers Day 25: #Flowers. Winner of the Jane Addams Children‘s Book Award, the IRA Children‘s Book Award Notable Book, and Society of Illustrators Original Art Exhibition among other accolades, this is a remarkable story of resilience and the capacity of the human spirit (and sunflowers) to thrive amidst darkness and barbed wires, even in “a place where nothing beautiful grows.” My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-7YO
Our local library now has themed book bundles for kids. You get 6 books related to a theme and we reserved the dragon bundle.
A little boy has a sunflower sword and changes the way the knights and dragons interact. No more fighting as a new way is paved. I loved this for our little guy - especially since he seems to think dinosaurs, dragons, pirates, etc. always need to be fighting. He loved the story as well!
