On my way to work earlier this week. Stopped in my tracks, gasped with glee and giggled to myself as I admired these pretty little things.

Earlier in the day, this article reminded me to be more grateful, less anxious over the surreal normalcy here

BookishMe Later that night, stricter precautions were announced which included temporary closure of workplace. Tho I had been anticipating the worst, I was shattered (to put it mildly) I've since become less fretful. Planning to temp if possible.
Relief measures have also just been announced. Less bleak, but... I know I have been spared the worst, and for that I stay #Grateful

TheAromaofBooks Things are definitely weird and scary right now, so searching out the positive can be challenging but rewarding. Hope you are able to get back to your job soon! I'm working at a wholesale greenhouse & we are still transplanting in hopes that we will be able to send items out at some point! Yesterday we did a bunch of lantana (like you have pictured) so your photo made me extra happy! 5y
BookishMe @TheAromaofBooks I thought of you and your hashtag when I snapped the pic. I just wasn't able to post on Tuesday itself. Yes, trying to stay positive and really, there's much to thank for in these scary times. Just as how transplanting keeps plants well, we need to keep hopes up 💟💞💟 5y

TheAromaofBooks I'm always up for spring flower pictures!!! Very slow to emerge here in Ohio, but I think our peach tree is going to bust out this weekend! 5y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Beautiful!!! The little things we take for granted... I was so excited to see my lilies starting to bloom 🌸 5y
BookishMe @TheAromaofBooks how peachy! Lol... Not sure about spring flowers, since it's perpetually sunny here when not raining ;p will continue to post more blooming pics ;D 5y
BookishMe @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks wow! Lilies are my favourite 😍😍 I make sure I don't take the tropical blooms here for granted, since I'm surrounded by landscaped neighbourhoods. This row of colour is below knee height and I'm sure I made a strange sight, standing in the middle of walkway with a grin 😁 😁 5y

#SpringIsInevitable I have been trying to capture this pocket of colour, which can be found on my way to work. Snapped the photos from the bus earlier... Always a cheerful sight!

Those are blocks of flats, our main public housing, in the background.

BookmarkTavern What beautiful flowers! It must smell amazing right there! 🌹🌻🌷 5y
TheAromaofBooks So lush!! Things are just barely starting to poke out of the ground here! 5y
Meaw_catlady Lovely flowers! Thanks for sharing them with us! 5y

BookishMe @ozma.of.oz your comment reminded me how bereft we can be without the scented air. These colourful shrubs usually line the pavements here and I suspect fumes from passing vehicles mask the fragrance of the flowers. Nighttime strolls may stand us a better chance to enjoy a mild whiff 5y
BookishMe @TheAromaofBooks it's either rain or shine here, so lush foliage is common sight that I am grateful for ;D 5y
BookishMe @Meaw_catlady 💚🍃🌼🌴🌺🌿💚 5y
BookmarkTavern A night time stroll sounds absolutely lovely! If you do that, I hope you enjoy it! 5y
BookishMe @ozma.of.oz thank you 😊 😊 5y

Infinitely #SpringIsInevitable in my sunny island ☺️😉😊
Pretty blooms all around the Garden City. These were spotted on my commute and the tiny ixoras formed the backdrop to the bus stop (but overflowing from a private property ;))

In the past three days I‘ve only walked to the end of my street and back - no more than 100m. For someone who usually walks 40+miles a week it hurts. However - the trees on my street are showing off a lot of spring love.

julesG Why don't you walk further? 5y
Soubhiville I‘ve still been walking my neighborhood, a couple miles a day. But it‘s never crowded, most days I see one or two other walkers max. 5y
Mitch @julesG I‘m still providing some care for my Dad who is 92 and has respiratory issues - so I‘m doing all I can to reduce my own risks. 5y

zezeki There's a new hashtag #springisinevitable. This photo is so suitable for it! 😀 5y

julesG 💡Makes sense. Stay safe! 5y
Mitch @julesG it‘ll probably be the last day I see him before we decide it‘s best to isolate him with my mum. 😢 5y

It's a little early for the plum trees to be budding up like this, but I saw them this morning and still got super excited. No matter what is happening in the world out there, spring is still on the way!

If you have a sign of spring where you are, feel free to post a picture and tag me - I would love to see some happy things!
#springisinevitable

llwheeler No picture, but last week I saw/heard 5-6 species of birds returning for the first time this season. Made me happy. 5y
Deifio 😍 already posted mine 5y
TheAromaofBooks @llwheeler - yes!! We have been seeing red-winged blackbirds, who are always a sign that spring is close!! 5y
llwheeler I love watching them! I saw one last week 🙂 5y
