so-soI found this first novel by VE Schwab difficult to stay invested in. The author herself describes it as a “quiet book” and that‘s a great way to explain it. It‘s a nice story, but perhaps lacking in the sort of details needed to make it more compelling. I also wonder if my Covid-affected attention span is the problem. Try it.
