My July #DoubleSpin Learned more about the legend of Sleepy Hollow🤓📚I liked it but for some reason was a bit underwhelmed with this one. Likely just my mood tbh. A great series & I will carry onto the next one😏❤️🔥
Meh. This was ok. The writing style was ok. It was a good love story. I just wasn‘t in it for a love story, I wanted creepy. It wasn‘t what I wanted it to be.
Didn't quite finish it during the #scarathlonsprint
I did read for 1hr and 45 min of the #readathon sprint

I'm going to start reading this one for todays #scarathlonsprint while I take a study break.

Just when they were feeling safe, another laugh joined theirs. An evil laugh. An Angry Laugh. A ghostly laugh.
This book would be a great book to read around Halloween time with older students. I think it would be a fun writing activity to have students create their own spooky legend or spooky tale.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was originally written by Washington Irving. This story is a fairytale about a school teacher who hears a story about the ghost of a headless horseman. This story had made-up characters but they are very flat with a quick beginning, middle, and end.
The first born girl of every generation in the Van Tassel family is named Katrina, after the first Katrina who was said to be protected by the headless horseman. When reading the original Katrina‘s diary, Kat see alarming parallels between her life now & Katrina‘s then. of course it all leads to the day of the Harvest Ball & the horseman‘s arrival. Decent bi rep, liked the girls, ex bf sucked, ending left me wanting more but quick read
