While I loved the show Sex and the City, I did not enjoy the book it was based on. But I did enjoy the YA books the author wrote about young Carrie, and the show that was based on those books.

Big fan of this show, so this book was awesome. Lots of behind the scenes information on the people who make the show happen in all areas.
Yeeeeeees SJP! This is my problem with many Netflix-original series. They rely too heavily on the ‘naughty‘ stuff and end up with empty plots and characters.
I have been a fan of “Sex in the City” since the beginning; naturally I was drawn to the “pre-Carrie” per Candace Bushnell. I loved this book. It took me longer to get through- it was well worth it. I loved seeing how Carrie met her dynamic three as their relationships are iconic and protruded through the book so well. It was inspiring because “Carrie never wins, especially at love.” And isn‘t that something every person can relate to?
So stoked there‘s a rock‘n‘roll symbol for the “pick” choice in this scenario because I really liked this book. This is the third book in my 2021 reading adventure and at first I was doubting my choice in books. Then, I gathered my much needed confidence that I am growing this and thought to the hell with it. I love the ‘Sex and the City‘ TV series- I thought to give this series a chance and enjoyed it. Totally recommend. And cheers to more heart.
Absolutely dreadful. Carrie is obnoxious & the inappropriate relationship (albeit with no sexual intercourse) between her (a 17 year old) & Bernard (in his 30s) has a definite ick factor. Carrie lies about her age but she is so immature it‘s difficult to see how people could believe she was even a couple of years older. I only finished it for a book challenge prompt. 1⭐️
I can‘t sleep. 😩 I‘ve given up. Do the dew.
But I did finish this audiobook reread, which was fantastic. SATC came on during my college years and was appointment television. (I‘m a Miranda.) It‘s good to hear the behind-the-scenes, often unsung history of the writers and producers. Definitely a must-read for series fans! 4⭐️🎧
