I started this today right before I heard the sad news. I loved her wit. She didn't fit into the traditional Hollywood mold and that was the best part of her. She called it like she saw it. Such a great activist for the mental health community. And per her wishes: "She drowned in moonlight, strangled by her own bra." #ripcarriefisher

Today, the boys of my generation lost their first crush. The girls, their role model. Hollywood lost a powerful voice. The world, a little magic; the universe, a little light.

Princess Leia WAS Carrie Fisher. A woman willing to stare injustice and evil in the face, yet wouldn't flinch. A woman who spoke the truth without reservation to a world that underestimated her.

I have loved Carrie Fisher since I first watched her as the kick-ass Princess Leia on Star Wars. In the last few years I have been getting to know her as the sassy, talented, funny, holds-no-bar woman that few people realized she was. I hate that her death is what finally prompted me to download her memoir but I look forward to reading it. #RIPCarrieFisher
