Tagged book was my favorite read in January, mostly for time and setting. Eight books finished, several in progress to varying degrees, and three each gone from the #readordonate and #readorbail stacks. On balance it was a good way to kick off the reading year. #jumpstart2024

I‘m in the middle of a couple long books, so I snuck this in under the wire for January. I predicted the perpetrator and knew about the change in the DI‘s situation, but neither panned out as I expected. All in all a good story.

Meanwhile for #seriesread2024 mystery edition and my #readorbail effort, I decided to bail on Boar Island since I really wasn‘t enjoying it. A friend of mine from Maine didn‘t like it, and considering that it‘s set there…

#readathon

Finished this morning ahead of Wednesday book club meeting. Endearing MC, interesting story even if it tied up a bit too neatly. Though there was a sequel published recently, I‘m content to let the story sit where it is.

As you see, I have plenty of #serieslove2024 and this is just the mysteries! It doesn‘t even include three books coming out this year that don‘t have covers yet.

Center square is also on my #readorbail list so it will be first.

1. In addition to the 21 books I plan to #readordonate I want to #readorbail with the 8 e-books that were on my Goodreads “currently reading” tag at the end of 2023. Some have been there way too long, as with the tagged book.
