Is anyone else participating in the #QueerLitReadathon in June? I think I went a little overboard with building a TBR 😬

Book 2-Leí, Wren, Caen, Bo, Nitty & Merrin will go around different villages to find allies for Hanno‘s kingdom because the King is dead. Is he really dead?🤔Story was ok. Real action came too late in the book. Dragging the story just to have a trilogy? Mmm, maybe. You will see love between different characters, lies, betrayals, false impressions, some funny parts but also grief. Lei is not easy, she‘s impulsive but never losing who she is. 3.4⭐️
What a beautiful book for its content. There are various important topics, the most important is depression, but also, cultural identity, friendship, family support, family relations, importance of communication. According to the author, some parts are from his life since he suffers from depression. We see beautiful friendship? or an early romance? or a discovery of how Darius identified himself? Beautiful descriptions of Iran‘s culture❤️4⭐️
The story premise was better than the first book, revenge from Hades against Zeus and Hercules and Meg, would they be victims? But unfortunately the story has more sex than anything but I wanted to know what would happen at the end. The “steamy-sexy” scenes (erotica not steamy) are so awkward sometimes that I just laughed, Hercules could be such an idiot sometimes. It is quite graphic (not healthy sex) in case you don‘t like this genre 2.9⭐️
I have uncommon opinion with this one with mixed feelings. I liked the beginning of the story during the start of that romance between Alex and Henry. It was so cute, specially that first kiss. I liked also the end, to see how much family support they received, the acceptance and the respect. But most part of the story was like dragging the story with immature and unrealistic scenes. I still enjoyed it but it was ok almost so-so. 3⭐️🏳️🌈
June #BookSpinBingo tbr There are books from previous months tbr. I‘m behind in my challenges & readathons, story of my life🙄I think I‘ll have all the time in the world to read📚😳So, some old and new books. This month I want to participate in #QueerLitReadathon #CaribAThon and #RomanceAThon I‘m trying to read at least 2 to 3 books in each readathon but the readings will be done during the whole month and not necessarily in the readathon dates.
This book started off pretty slow for me. I just couldn't get into it right off the bat, even though it starts off with some pretty serious action. I felt like it took too long to really get to know the characters, and also maybe took too long to feel like there was going to be any hope of them resolving the problem they are up against. Once I got to know the characters, I did love them. And I really enjoyed the world created by the author. ⬇️
I loved this book. Listened to the #audiobook via #scribd for the #queerlitreadathon. Ben is non-binary, and when they come out to their parents in their senior year of high school, their parents kick them out. They then have to navigate their path to graduation as well as becoming comfortable in their own skin. Written by a non-binary author. Great writing, compulsive story, and I learned a lot

Yesterday‘s #Parnassus #bookhaul. I keep hearing great things about the tagged book and hope to get to it soon! The boys chose the rest. Big bro picked Time for School, Little Dinosaur for little brother. So sweet! #raisingreaders
Physical TBR for #queerlitreadathon. Starts June 2. I'm including The Disasters, which I am already reading, bc the main character mentions that he has dated males and females in the past. I might try to save Red, White, and Royal Blue for #romanceathon in the middle of the month. As stated before, I don't intend to get through all books pictured. It just allows me some variety and choice without buying more books!
