My collaborator and best friend Michael Sheehan, Jr. and I both love movies about mummies and ancient Egypt, and we visited the King Tut exhibit four times, when it came to a local museum. I've loved the works of H.P. Lovecraft since I was a teenager, so this book was a labor of love for both of us.

Twelfth and (hooray!) last novel in Rohmer's series featuring supervillain Fu Manchu This one has our heroes going undercover in China to stop Fu Manchu from fighting Communists -- because if he wins he just might take over the world. Or something: it doesn't make a lot of sense but there are zombies and creepy killer insects. The goofy plot and cool monsters do not balance out the series's other flaws, which are the usual.

They also wore black - different colours of black. That was his first introduction to the tertiary colours - the colours on the far side of blackness. The colours that you get if you split blackness with an eightsided prism. #terrypratchett #speakhisname #gnuterrypratchett #pratchett #pyramids #discworld

My 4 year old daughter got this amazing Playmobil set for Christmas which she'd wanted all year & absolutely loves. I couldn't resist the learning opportunity so got her the Usborne flap book to accompany it. It covers topics such as the Nile, the Pyramids, royal burial & the ruins today - there is a lot of information! Usborne never disappoint - their books are perfect for inquisitive minds.

Also I've been playing with this set myself- it's ace!

batsy That is so fun! 😍 6y
Amiable My sons loved Playmobil when they were younger--this set would have been right up their alley! 6y
Sresendez12 I love Usborne books! We are still in the infant book stage, but I‘m glad to know the books are still good as they get older 😀 6y

Butterfinger I want this for me. It has taken me nine days to read the October Horse about Caesar and Cleopatra. It's a great book, just long and we're starting the second semester. I would have loved this to role play appropriate scenes with my 7 year old. ♥️ 6y
