4. Even though our D-Backs were eliminated from the playoffs, we had a good run and are now rooting for the Tigers! (pic is from last year's World Series).
5. My exercises for my vertigo are finally working.
All are welcome to share! 🖤❤️🖤

Amiable As a fellow vertigo sufferer, I feel your pain. What exercises are you doing? Are they habituation maneuvers or are you treating an episode? 2mo
dabbe @Amiable The habituation ones. I hate doing them because they bring on the vertigo, but after a while they do seem to snap those crystals back where they need to be. I also have eczema in both ears, and I think I cause the onsets when I itch them (Q-tips are NOT my friend!). It\'s a vicious cycle I\'ve contended with for almost 30 years now. 😑 I\'m sorry you suffer from it, too. 😞 2mo
IndoorDame I‘m so glad to hear your exercises are working! 💙💜 2mo

Amiable @dabbe Are you doing Brandt-Daroff? Or others? I saw an ENT at the Yale Balance Clinic and he told me to start doing B-D but when I first tried them I started getting that “swimmy” feeling and I panicked and stopped. I‘ve had vertigo episodes so bad they‘ve put me in the ER on two occasions so I avoid anything that might trigger another one. Vertigo is the worst feeling! So hard to describe to people who haven‘t experienced it. Ugh. 2mo
dabbe @Amiable I\\\'m not sure. I have a well-worn printout that my doctor gave me years ago, and it just has exercises on it with no names. They all bring about that swimmy feeling, and I absolutely hate them, but if I can withstand the nauseous dizziness until it goes away, it does help. Do you get it so bad that if you even turn your head too quickly that feeling comes one? ⬇️ (edited) 2mo
dabbe When people ask what it feels like, I tell them if they\'ve ever been so drunk (like in those good ol\' college days) where the room swims all around them before they puke, then that\'s what it feels like! I feel your pain, sista! I\'ve gotten pretty good at moving my head slowly at all times to avoid it. Now I just have to stop putting Q-tips in there when my ears itch! 😂 2mo
Mimi28 I hope all of you feel better soon 🫶🏽😊🩷 2mo

Amiable @dabbe I avoid turning my head quickly! Last year I triggered an episode when I hyperextended my neck during an MRI. I was immediately debilitated and unable to move without vomiting. The staff had to call an ambulance to take me to the ER. I tell people that it‘s been so bad that I literally cannot stand without falling over. I‘ve had to crawl to the bathroom because I couldn‘t get up. People don‘t understand how horrible vertigo can be. 2mo
dabbe @Amiable I\'ve had episodes at the doctor\'s, too! Laying down on the table then getting up too quickly. Not as bad as yours, though. A friend of a friend has vertigo and hers is because she has low sodium--no the crystals in the ear being all wonky. Do you think that might be you, too? I\'m going to ask my doctor to test my sodium level the next time I go in. I wish I could hug you--very slowly, though! 😂🤗🤗 2mo
Amiable @dabbe Interesting —I hadn‘t heard about the sodium levels. I have very low blood pressure and my doctor actually tells me to PUT salt in my food, which amazes my friends who struggle with high blood pressure. I have read studies that speculate issues with the crystals may result from low levels of Vitamin D, so I take a supplement. Just in case. I‘ll try anything to avoid an episode! Ugh. Hugs to you, too! Misery loves company…? 😬 2mo
dabbe @Amiable In this case, YES! We understand what we\'re going through, m\'dear! 😘 2mo
