This book was so much fun!

A medieval retelling of Legally Blonde was something I never knew I needed! I‘m a huge Legally Blonde fan but I never realized that it could be retold in such a unique way. As a retelling, it worked very well. The original characters were translated very well. Clía, the female lead, definitely gave Elle Woods vibes.

I had to look up horse movements: walk, trot, canter, gallop, lope, pace, amble, rack, tolt, (wait, there‘s more!) piaffe, passage, gait, cadence, and, jog!!! Well, I visualize and I just had an image of a horse in a tank top, shorts, and a terry cloth headband stuck in my head. Jogging. (Yes, I‘m weird) 🏃‍♀️🐎🏃‍♂️ 🤭🤣😝

Times are difficult and a small kingdom in southern France needs to forge an alliance with another. The King‘s solution is to marry Princess Tullia to an odious prince, but she wants nothing to do with this plan. The court magician, Anatole is torn. He has always looked after Tullia, but he is beholden to the King. A series of magical mishaps send the two on the run, but their flight may be doomed. This story was a magical 3/5 ⭐️ read.
