#AugustGrrrl #PerfectIllusion I thought of this book where one of the main characters, Stephanie, creates an illusion of herself and her life on her mommy blog and a simple favor asked by her 'perfect' best friend Emily turns out to be not simple at all. Let's just say that several perfect illusions are shattered for and/or by the characters in this book.

Sense of self may be a #perfectillusion. This one sounds interesting. The synopsis mentions social media's role in our ever-change stories, and since I read today that Aziz Ansari gave up the internet, I'm fascinated by the premise!

Is Selina Dawes a spirit medium or is she creating a #perfectillusion? Affinity is less popular than Sarah Waters' other books - it's slower, gothic and gloomy - but I really liked this one.

So, I don't really have a reading nook, but here's my current read (and an uncooperative kitten) on the "cuddler" portion of our couch, where I sit to read a lot. In this book, the wife thinks she has the #perfectillusion because she keeps two diaries - one her husband knows about and one he does not!
