#nuclearcatastrophe. It was actually an epidemic that wiped everyone out in this story. But it was really good and showed me that I really like dystopian, utopian, apocalyptic, post-apocalyptic, etc., books. ☆☆☆☆☆

No #nuclearcatastrophe today, but I was super excited to get this in the mail today!! The cover is gorgeous, so I decided to use it for #crazycovers as well. #marchmadness #marchintoreading
In 1966, Fermi 1 was the worst nuclear accident at a U.S. commercial power plant (up till then). Luckily for me it was only a partial meltdown. The Fermi accident had many of the trappings of a Hollywood drama, including shadowy informants and a purported cover-up. Even then-Vice President Hubert Humphrey was in town at the time of the partial meltdown to dedicate the new Monroe County Public Library. Almost a #nuclearcatastrophe #MarchMadness
For #day28 #nuclearcatastrophe I have no idea how I remembered this book but I remember reading it in either elementary school or middle school and remember thinking how beautiful and heartbreaking of a story it was. The little girl who wanted to fold 1,000 paper cranes before she passed away. Anyone else ever read this story? #marchmadness
I was surprised by how much I liked this crazy YA novel. Giant praying mantises attacking a small town and a sexually confused male protagonist make an unexpected reading experience and turned Andrew Smith into a must read author for me. #nuclearcatastrophe #marchmadness
