pickOoh, I loved this one! Ana is an ice skating champion (7th grade) who increasingly feels frustration at the costumes, styles, and music that are picked out for her. When a new friend mistakes her for male she finds a reluctance to correct him.
What a fantastic middle-grade story about starting to figure out identity. Note: At the end Ana still uses she/her pronouns, but has made other changes.
