pickWhile I mostly liked this book, it did get a little repetitive. There was also one instance where Cork didn‘t act quite right given the situation. I found it difficult to believe that neither the sheriff nor Cork‘s enemies noticed it. It could have changed the course of the events if they had. #audiowalk
It was so pretty outside today but still a little chilly. I didn‘t walk as far as I did yesterday so I didn‘t get as far in the book. It‘s weird to read one where Cork‘s kids barely show up. #audiowalk
It‘s been awhile since I‘ve listened to a Cork O‘Connor novel, so this next in the series for me is my new #audiowalk book. I did a lot of walking and driving today, so I‘m almost halfway through already. It‘s nice to be back in Cork‘s world even though we‘re in Arizona for this one instead of Minnesota.

I‘m using one of my vintagy Watkins pie plates I found in a secondhand shop. They are the heavy ceramic types with recipes imprinted on them. I didn‘t know Watkins ever sold pie plates! (Watkins is an old spice company in our region.)
#Mtcookbook Basically, a variation on Mac & Cheese. 😋 This is common cooking in my house. I look at the leftovers in the fridge and pantry and find a suitable way to use them up. This was very tasty, per the hubby. I made it quite a bit spicer than the recipe directed. 🌶️
pickThis was a sweet little tale, an early chapter book by Minnesota author Margi Preus. We have a voyageur from Montreal in our family history, so it was interesting to read from that perspective. (I‘m hoping he was like Jean Gentille, the book lover in this story!)
I'm finally digging out of Covid haze. It's been a long 2 weeks but this happened before that❣️. My son got engaged....And also November #bookspin with a favorite author!
