Well, I flew through this audiobook last night. I sacrificed sleep to finish it in one sitting (laying actually, curled up with my cats) It was absolutely brilliant. I loved Leo and Stargirl the same as I did back in the day, and I found myself laughing out loud and repeatedly smiling at how adorable this book is. Leo struggles to choose between popularity and a girl who absolutely mystifies him. Love or Friends? What would you give up to fit in?

monalyisha @DivaDiane @Clwojick @Itchyfeetreader Basically, there are those who claim to have distinct memories of “Berenstein” being spelled with an “e.” They claim this is because they were existing in an alternate timeline, but that the timelines have now converged & everything (even the well-worn books from their childhoods, dutifully dredged up from their parents‘ attics) is now spelled with an “a.” Link to follow! 7y

DivaDiane Haha! Well, I have to admit it is confusing, because I‘ve heard the name pronounced in various ways and Berenstain is an unusual spelling. But they did all sorts of strange things to names on Ellis Island, so anything is possible. 7y

Itchyfeetreader @monalyisha this is amazing, I could fall down this story all day!! All I remember is they were not available in the uk when I was little but we had a family friend who had been a nanny in Canada and brought them back for me. I thought I was pretty special. 7y

The original cover had me literally hugging the book when I picked it up from the Library. ❤️💖 @Sresendez12 I am so excited to reread Sideways! I don‘t remember everything about it, but I remember throwing a mini fit when I had to return it to the school library. 😆 (edited) 7y

vkois88 Awww now I want to find a copy! Hmmmmm... maybe tomorrow I'll check the used bookstore by my house, since they still have their clearance sale going on 🤔🤔 The Sideways series was another favorite. It was always a race to beat other kids to the library to check it out 7y
