I did like some aspects of it, primarily the time traveling, but it‘s really not good. so-soI found this haunted house story to be genuinely terrifying at times, and impossible to put down. However, the dialogue between the characters was completely unbelievable, and the characters were mostly one dimensional. There are some sickening plot points, but it was the ending that didn‘t work for me and moved it to so-so. Over the top, overdone, inexplicable. pickI liked this fictional account of an actual event, the Donner Party and their ill fated crossing of the Sierra Nevadas in the winter of 1846. Here, the author imagines the cannibalism that occurred with an even more horrific twist. I liked the descriptions of life on a wagon train...amazing what people went through to seek out a better life for their families. pickA silly rom com that reminded me of a Hallmark movie. A little cheesy, a lot sappy, but a fun view into a love at first sight will they or won‘t they relationship.
