#BookReport
Managed to finish two books this week. One was my commute audiobook and the other was an impulse read.

#WeeklyForecast
I'm still struggling with my physical book and the book club book for work so I'm going to have to use the holiday weekend to push through on those. I also need to find another commute audiobook to commit to.

Loads of fun with the crew of St. Mary's. I think the OTTness is what makes me love these so much. Definitely not stand alone though. It's been a while since I've read the earlier ones so I had to find summaries to refresh my memory.

After her brilliant, artist father died on 9/11, Joan ended up giving up most of her dreams only to find herself, 9 years later, in a boring job and a boring marriage. Her marriage implodes and she accepts a job couriering some art to Paris only to have it stolen and replaced with pages from her dad's missing notebooks. She and her one night stand end up on a treasure hunt around Paris to get the art back and find out who has her dad's notebooks.

Book 24📚 3.8⭐️

Finally jumped into this ARC I received last year and I will say by the end I was more confused than at the beginning! I assume there will be a book 2? I need answers!

It is quite a wordy novel and current on pronouns, even for the AI‘s / the “aliens”(?) I‘m not quite sure what everything is honestly😂

If you like sci-fi, check this out! And then help me understand haha. It‘s intriguing.

I got this book from a flea market back in 2016, finally got around to reading it. Almost halfway through the book, Joan hasn‘t saved France yet. But it‘s a really good read so far. Very promising!

TieDyeDude I listened to the audio and loved it! It is a very different kind of book from Twain, but still very much Twain :) 4mo

Historic fiction is by far my favorite genre and this book did not fail to deliver. I was heartbroken, inspired, and most importantly, challenged as to how far I myself would go for what I believe to be truth. Regardless of whether you hold to the beliefs of this Maiden, I would highly recommend giving this book a chance and allowing yourself to experience her life of victory and horror. #52challenge

I borrowed this book from my mom and stepdad, I did enjoy this book. I have an interest in Joan of Arc. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

Candidly, I‘ve lost the ability to properly review these books. It‘s my favorite audiobook series; I‘m always so happy to be immersed in Max‘s world.

If pressed, criticisms include:
•This installment‘s a bit meandering.
•There‘s one problematic sentence, though I forget the content now. I don‘t think it was particularly egregious - just not especially *aware.*
•I‘m unsure about the last words, which (paraphrasing) once spoken can‘t be unspoken.

monalyisha There was also a markedly-awkward lack of Leon (though I suspect the reason is that he‘ll be *very* present in Book 7). 7mo
julesG I find it hard to review this series too. For the sane reasons. You're right, sometimes I notice a sentence that's more 😬. But it's forgotten by the end of the book. 7mo
Sapphire So, was it you that got me hooked on these audiobooks? 6mo
monalyisha @Sapphire Ha! It absolutely could have been! I know @julesG is a big fan, too. 😉 6mo
julesG Could have been me, indeed. @Sapphire St Mary's was my Covid/Lockdown series. I've re-read/listened to the books so often by now when my daughter listens to one of the audiobooks I instantly know which one it is by catching only a snippet. 6mo
