It was a slow reading month for me, which seems to be typical for March for some reason. I hope April will be a more book month. 📚
For those that watch A&E's Hoarders, the tagged book is by Dr Zasio, one of the therapists on that show, which I found really interesting. She's my favorite therapist on Hoarders.

This is not your typical Lisa Jewell book; if you‘re expecting a thriller, you won‘t find it in these pages. What it is - quite a dark and rather disturbing read about one of the most dysfunctional families ever fictionalized (is that a word?). Not sure what it says about me, but I loved it and couldn‘t put it down. #readyourkindle

CBee @AmyG you‘d like this if you haven‘t read it already. 👯 1w

Good short tale of hoarding and value of things with romance. Graphic novels go fast! Well drawn.

interesting read about a messed-up family but.........

not sure the constant polyphonia was needed, I think it was Meg's story plus a few emails from Lolerelei

a bit too keen to give everyone a complicated consequence - Rory in Thailand felt more tell than show, didn't really buy late convert hippie-dad

some great stuff in it, never-the-less - all in Maggie O'Farrell territory

Darcy finds books as a way to escape the mess of her mom‘s hoarding habit. She kept people at bay until Asher walks into the bookstore she works at. He seems to have a mess of his own to figure out. Will they accept the mess in each other‘s life?

I DNFed this book half way through. It was too slow for me and there was little to no romance between the characters. I wanted at least more banter.

This is a dark tale (with a whiff of Hilary Mantel's "Beyond Black"?) of disappearance and suspicious death, set in a crumbling mansion with the principal characters being cantankerous (and possibly dangerous) old Cathal Flood and his carer Maud. It's an engrossing mystery that manages to be slyly funny and also poignant.
Extra marks for Renata, Maud's agoraphobic trans landlady.
Top marks for Aoife McMahon's superb narration.
