Ah Jamey. I may have since discovered a world of whiskey & whisky but you never forget your first love. We first met in pages of Marne Davis Kellogg's Lilly Bennett series. Lilly always drank Jameson. I gave you a try & it was love at first sip. Highlight of our relationship was visit to your birthplace. My 1/2 Handstand wasn't perfect. Was after whisky drinking or maybe because. 🙃 #happyhour

Wanted to note the death of Donald Hall at 89 yrs of age June 23rd. A wonderful poet , I really love his essays in the Eagle Pond series written when he moved to family farm in N.H.Jane Kenyon , 19 yrs his junior, his wife who‘s reputation as a poet was still growing as she was diagnosed with Leukemia and died 15 months later,is the subject of “The Best Day the Worst Day.”He wrote elegantly about about their lives together as writers.
The epigraph to my third novel, PAST THE BLEACHERS, in honor of the talented, kind, and insightful #DonaldHall, who passed away today. #RIP, Donald. You were a gift to us all. This is from his beautiful essay, “Fathers Playing Catch with Sons.”
