One day in 1963, I stopped in a drugstore on my way home from high school (at that point in time, spinner racks full of mass market paperbacks in drugstores were one of the few places in our town where books were available; there was no actual bookstore), and spotted on the rack an anthology called The Unknown, edited by D.R. Bensen.

I enjoyed listening to the audiobook of this book. I wanted to try something different while I crochet and do house work. I loved the history of the world building. It reminds me of Lord of the Rings in a way. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.
I‘m all set for the start of #ReadingWesteros #GoTChapterADay This is my first Chapter A Day read along so I am hype.
Because I might be semi obsessed with GoT! Never thought that would happen 🤣
This sci-fi horror novella tells of a journey gone wrong to discover the mythical volcryns. When the captain of the Nightflyer sends a holographic projection of himself & refuses to meet the crew in person, suspicions soon arise. This one had some issues, & I do think that Tuf Voyaging is a better SF work by Martin. But as I was looking for a sci-fi horror to read, this scratched that itch.
Finished my October #Roll100
This was an interesting read filled with rock and roll nostalgia (though some references were lost on me being a 90s kid!)
Following the murder of a former rock promoter, ex journalist Sandy begins to investigate the story. It leads him to the band the Nazgûl‘s, whose album “music to wake the dead” seems to be the driving force behind the killing and a budding revolution.
This was a really interesting read!
Follows a rock music journalist‘s investigation into the death of a music industry professional. Really different to what we're used to from this author but very good.
