#FeelinTheLove Day 13: When Llewellyn meets Evelyn, Llewellyn hands her a jar filled with cherry light. Since then, Llewellyn and Evelyn collect things together. One day, Evelyn tells Llewellyn that her family is moving away. What will happen to their friendship? After reading the Red Jacket, I let the kids design their own. They needed to include infinite pockets and this kid chose kittens. I need a kitten now.

mandarchy @Jari-chan the truth, I had an emotional reaction when I saw hers. I've been cat free longer than any other time in my life. 2w

3 ⭐ This is a sequel book to Something Wrong. This book is fine. It‘s over long by a lot. One of the characters is one that I think talks to hear themselves speak. But they do it in the guise of helping their friend. That is the important lesson to learn. It also shows that someone can say they‘re fine when they‘re not fine, but at what point is the line of finding out what fine actually means.

Holly & Ivy (yes 😆) have been besties for years. When Holly's fiance calls off their wedding she convinces Ivy to do the honeymoon while Holly takes Ivy's planned solo trip to an eco-cabin. Both come to understand some things about themselves &, of course, both find true love. But the real star of this show is their enduring friendship. And the descriptions of the scenery in Kauai & the Hudson Valley. I'm dreaming of visiting both places now.

The power of human touch and what happens to people when it's not present. This is such a hopeful book about two young men in the care system who find each other and learn to love. Reminded me of a John Green novel.

I needed a book character with one of my names for a book challenge, & my friend found me one. This is a middle grade story about a girl who has OCD. She ends up being in a community theater musical, a new experience for her. Friend drama & dealing with her grandmother & mother‘s arguments are stressors. Very responsible about mental health & normalizes therapy. A really good book that a middle schooler should enjoy.

Op shop scores from a wk ago at Salvos Charlestown. Sometimes I‘m lucky enough to find clothes that fit me in the kids section which means they are cheaper eg. The striped 👗. I bought it to wear to work as it‘s cotton & we don‘t have air conditioning in many rooms at 🏫. It was only $4 & is size 16 kids. I did a demi character in my last 🩰 exam as a kid to 🌅 Boulevard 🎶 so keen to 🎧 to that again after so long! The socks are for my nephew 🎣

An amusing bit of strange. Part way seems to want to point out how we take for granted treating 'man's best friend' a particular way, in the certain belief that they enjoy it, and part way a standard tale of alien experiencing what we see as familiar, and part way a commentary on the revelations available when we interact with a new being and recognize when we're expecting them to react as others have (especially those who look similar) 1/?

Robotswithpersonality 2/2 in previous interactions, and should leave room for different beings acting uniquely, with a smattering of heart-warming awkward 'making new friends'. I think there's a tried and tested message or two in here, though the premise of green alien seemingly of canine -like persuasion is a new one for me.
Gotta wonder how much of that whole dog park situation was a bit uncanny valley/existential horror at first for the Dalmartian....🫤
