The rhyming didn't irritate me in this gem about Gene, your me-my-mine dot. An #everybodybook about characteristics that make us unique.

I get picture books from the #timberlandregionallibrary to read, review, and decide to purchase for my school library. The first thing I noticed about this copy is that the pages were already well loved by someone who needed to hear this story over and over. Or someone was going back and forth once they knew how to break the code. #everybodybook
I got a good chuckle from this graphic novel. Winner of the Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor. Targeted to kids ages 6-10, but really an #everybodybook
This is great, especially if you are looking for #SEL books loaded with affirmations. I ❤️ the back paragraph that walks your through a simple meditation that kids would love. So many journal/art prompts can be found in this #everybodybook
I love this #everybodybook because it's a gazing book and a relatable topic. Not a hard topic, but a joyful one. Today I'm adding it to my library and the artistry is so stunning, here is the #underthedustcover Raul the Third may be my new favorite illustrator.
Beautifully illustrated, this book is really about a child named Tybre Faw who was so inspired by John Lewis and how their friendship was formed. Truly an #everybodybook younger children would need a lot of support to understand the content, but there's plenty of time for that. Any child could relate to the admiration Faw has for Lewis.
I need this book in my library! If you are looking for a book to talk about the pandemic, this is a great start. Pham genuinely illustrated so many experiences of the pandemic lock down when we still didn't have all the information and we were scared to go near our loved ones. #everybodybook #weneeddiversebooks
Beautifully illustrated and well researched historic fiction #picturebook retelling the events of 1 of the 1st memorial day celebrations in the U.S. after the Civil War. Includes background. information that guided the research, a bibliography, web links and a timeline. Great for leading up to the holiday weekend or as an example of how children can volunteer in service to their community. #everybodybook #weneeddiversebooks
Truly an #everybodybook - younger kids will love the rhyming and the fact that they can sing the book. Older kids will appreciate the surprise ending and a challenge for them might be to find the foreshadowing detail in the illustrations. Very clever.
I love Princess Truly. This book could be used as part of an SEL unit and the vocabulary could help develop Zones of Regulation in the classroom. The intended audience is much younger than the reading level making me think this would be a great read-aloud for early primary grades. But it's definitely an #everybodybook
