I‘ve been at an executive retreat the past 2 days & part of the agenda was several sessions of sitting in silence from 20 to 45 minutes at a time. This morning‘s at 6:30 AM inspired this haiku.

There are no cameras/phones in the room while the practice is going on but I found this sunrise picture of our dojo‘s grounds.

Dojo at Sunrise

Bell sounds, rooster crows
Darkness eases into dawn
We sit in stillness

A Drink and cry in your beer kind of song 🎵

Being in a reading slump means I'm still "in Ireland" for #foodandlit but since my guy is playing pickleball, the pup is content to lounge with me, and today's scrolling doesn't feel so doom-y, I'm going to finish my Ireland Overview with some Irish Pub ambiance on the screen.

I know I‘m super late posting this but I wanted to let you know that I‘m so grateful for the #LitsyLove Christmas cards I received last holiday. I have answering them at slow pace but I‘m using the bookmarks and the stickers are so useful because I have a couple of journals and they are perfect 😍 I‘m glad you liked the mini bookmarks @sleepswithbooks I know my address can be weird sometimes thank you for the stickers @BookwormAHN ⬇️

This one was the chunkster for me! 674 pages. And I‘ve had it for several years. Read it in order, which is probably not its intent. But lots of really useful information! Makes me realize that my parents raised me well and also makes me sad at how little people pay attention to good manners and etiquette these days 😓
