I adore mythological stories.

CBee ME TOO!!! I never tire of mythology. Edith Hamilton‘s book turned me into such a nerd for it 🤓🤓 7h

I read about the Basque arborglyphs in #atreeaday and then, about the Pando aspen in Maggie, etc… (finished last night). Simply put: trees are amazing. #weirdwords #weirdwordwednesday

TheBookHippie How cool. 17h
Deblovestoread Love this! Aspens are my favorite, their leaves make the best music in the wind. 17h

Amiable This photo is gorgeous, too! 😍 17h
SamAnne In the desert of SE Oregon, on Steens Mountain, one can find many carvings in the old aspen by Basque and other sheepherders from the early 1900s, maybe earlier. They are still there. Very cool, except for the disturbing carvings of female figures with antlers. Likely a little later by white dudes. 17h
BookmarkTavern Oh wow! That‘s so cool! 16h
lil1inblue @SamAnne How cool! That sounds absolutely breathtaking! 16h
lil1inblue I love this! 😍 16h
dabbe We just walked by some aspens on our walk with the pups. We're up north this week and are loving the weather and trees. L😍VE these new words. 🩵💙🩵 15h
CBee @Deblovestoread we don‘t have them here - wrong kind of climate 😅 15h
CBee @SamAnne hi!! So good to see you back on Litsy ♥️ Oof. So does it seem like someone came later and added the offensive carvings? That‘s awful. 15h
CBee @dabbe sounds lovely! 15h
dabbe @SamAnne 😱😳😤 14h
SamAnne @CBee aw thank you. I‘ve missed the friendly lovely crew here. 12h
CBee @SamAnne we‘ve missed you! Hope you‘ve been okay ♥️ 7h
CatLass007 Some of the words you share with us, although absolutely marvelous, I wonder if I‘ll ever have the opportunity to use. Nevertheless keep sharing, and I will keep remembering and looking for those opportunities. 5h

CBee @dabbe oh please! I could never think of you as bossy or belligerent. If you were strict, it‘s because you wanted to push them to do their best! Would‘ve loved to see you in action 😁 1mo
dabbe @CBee You are too kind! I definitely was a pusher--in all the best ways, of course! 😘 1mo

I‘ve been spending the day working on a new novel idea, and it‘s my first time writing without any kind of outline.

It is both terrifying and exhilarating. 😂

Ruthiella Good luck! 🍀 2mo
julesG It does sound more eloquent than 'pantser' 😉 2mo

CBee How exciting!! You can do it 🙌🏻 2mo
CatLass007 Awesome! I didn‘t know you are a novelist. Have you written anything in which I might be interested? You have to remember that I‘m interested in reading every genre. Also, I agree with @julesG, it does sound more eloquent than “pantster.” Thanks for the tag! 2mo
BookmarkTavern @CatLass007 This one‘s a cozy mystery! And nothing published as of yet! But I‘m hoping to have something by the end of the year to start querying. We‘ll see how that goes! 🤞🏻 2mo
CatLass007 Excellent! I love cozies. Does it have a theme? Cats, dogs, book club, baking, crafting, etc.? Or do you know yet? 2mo
BookmarkTavern @CatLass007 my amateur sleuth has inherited an old train diner car and is restoring it as an old fashioned diner! 2mo
CatLass007 Cool!! I definitely would patronize the diner. (edited) 2mo

This isn‘t the meaning I expected when looking up this word (stumbled upon recently when reading the AMAZING All the Sinners Bleed). But it‘s cool nonetheless! #weirdwordwednesday #weirdwords

CatLass007 This is a great word! I‘ve read it before so I knew what it meant in the context of the words around it. I‘m too lazy to look it up in a dictionary though. Thanks for sharing this amazing word, you amazing woman! 3mo
BookmarkTavern What a timely word! 😂 3mo
dabbe You always pick the best ones to say out loud! And extremely prescient as well. 😍 3mo
CBee @BookmarkTavern I thought the exact same thing 😂🤦‍♀️ 3mo
CBee @peanutnine I can see that! 😂 3mo
CBee @dabbe thank you! 😊 3mo
CBee @CatLass007 you‘re very welcome, fellow amazing woman 😊 3mo
CatLass007 I just did something that I said I don‘t do because of laziness. I looked up the definition of the word “febrile.” It was just used in the book Conclave describing a “new and febrile mood.” It can mean either feverish or nervous excitement or energy. From the context, I believe it is intended to mean nervous excitement or energy. You have inspired me to start looking up the definitions of words! 3mo
CBee @CatLass007 I know that word from my nursing school days. I‘m glad I inspired you to look it up 😊👏🏻 3mo

My lilacs are blooming, my hydrangeas are up. And the roses are budding! I am so ready for spring.

This word also has a chemistry related definition, used to describe the process of a substance loosing moisture and turning into a fine powder, but I like the first one better.

#WeirdWordWednesday #WeirdWords

CBee I like the first one better, too. Because flowers ♥️ 3mo
