I don‘t like Musk, but I‘m in awe of Walter Isaacson, his biographer, after having read another of his books, “Steve Jobs”, a few years ago. This book is indeed very interesting.
While Elon Musk is a figure that many have strong opinions about, myself included, you cannot discount his incredible success. His determination and dedication to hitting his goals are unlike anyone I have ever read about. While I do not agree with all his methods or his personal touch, there were many things I could take from him for my career. Love or hate him, Musk dares to see how risk can lead to great reward.
As a kid growing up in South Africa, Elon Musk knew pain and learned how to survive it.

This biography was a page turner--no matter what you think of Elon Musk, his life has certainly been eventful, and Walter Isaacson does a masterful job of portraying his complex world of business ventures and relationships. The portrait that emerges depicts a brilliant, visionary, obsessive, erratic, relentless, arrogant, unstable man. His accomplishments are extraordinary; his empathy for individual humans (as opposed to Humanity) is minimal.

Musk is quite a character -- sometimes lovable and sometimes infuriating. If I ever met him I would be hard pressed to know whether to hug him or slap him. Just kidding. No doubt he‘s a genius with grand intentions so nothing but respect from me. ⬇️
Interesting and entertaining book about a genius that has unusual emotional responses.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I‘m no fan of this person, but I respect the biographer, and as a nonfiction lover, it‘s my duty to read relevant books. Also, my husband likes Musk so any debate fuel is always a plus. My opinion has improved slightly. Brilliant maybe, but a bit misdirected. I‘m happy not to see this cover anymore. 🫣
like the way this author thinks. I‘ve read Code Breaker, Einstein, Jobs & now Elon Musk. He knows what I want to know.
I tend not to follow social media as I‘m more of a skeptic than a sheeple.
What I gather from this book is that Elon had a rough childhood & wants to make the world a better place no matter who he has to dress down. He doesn‘t seem to greedily crave money or power, he seems to want to fix things.
