pickI enjoyed this more than Flesh and Spirit. Carol Berg has some excellent twists and turns in this series, as well as some highly satisfying character development. pickI picked this one up because of its beautiful cover and because it was advertised as being by a local #colorado author. This one took a while to get into, but as soon as I broke through the slowest part, I fell head over heals with the way magic works in this world, the earth spirits, and the characters that live in Berg‘s bleak world.
