I‘m super sad that I won‘t be able to finish either of my print books today because of work. 😭 I really wanted to head into April with a clean slate. I will finish my audiobook and I can‘t be too mad with my #marchstats. 4 books for #readingasia2021, 3 books for #booked2021, and 6 books for #MountTBR. 2335 pages and about 43 hours of audio. My favorites were the books for the library‘s #communityread2021, Ghost, & The Janissary Tree.

Mitch That‘s an impressive month! 4y
MicheleinPhilly I feel you. This has been an especially hellacious work month. 4y
LeahBergen Stupid work! 😉 4y
Gissy Amazing!!! 📚📚📚📚👏👏👏👏👏 4y

I‘ve decided to give myself some grace and also use audiobooks to get through some of the challenge books, even though I had originally wanted the page count. No point in putting myself into a slump just to slog through a print book I‘m struggling with! Going to start Serena Singh now, which is a recent myTBR recommendation. Finished the library #communityread2021 program and the Winter quarter for #Booked2021 this week, so #win! #bookreport

Bookzombie I really need to finish Reynolds‘ Track series. I have read the first two. 4y
Cinfhen Woohoo 🎉 congrats on completing first quarter of #Booked2021 4y

Finished my reread of Just Mercy today for my library‘s #communityread2021. This is the book that completely changed my understanding and opinions regarding the so-called justice system in America. It‘s horrifying and heartbreaking.

Well, it was a disappointing week. My library holds came in for two of the supplemental books for #communityread2021 and I read them both, but that‘s all I finished. I struggled to settle into another book and kept picking up new ones. I am hoping to finish something else, anything else, today. 🤞🏻 #bookreport

Cinfhen I was really gripped by this book / the audio is brilliant (edited) 4y
DGRachel @Cinfhen I listened to it back in 2018 and am rereading for my library‘s community read. I kind of wish I hadn‘t decided to listen to it again. It makes me sad and rage-y. 4y

Children‘s books are hard for me to review because I don‘t have kids in my life at all. However, this is the children‘s book pick for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library‘s #communityread2021 and I loved both the message and the art, which makes it a pick for me. ☺️

Bookzombie I feel the same way about reviewing children‘s books. I have a few to post too. 4y

This is the MG selection for my library‘s #communityread2021 and I found it wonderful. It‘s a collection of vignettes about students in a middle school, each tale about a different child or small group of kids, and their school day experience. They are complex and emotional. I love a book that can make me laugh and cry, that entertains and warms the heart. Highly recommend. 💖

Graciouswarriorprincess @DGRachel I have this in my TBR pile, moving up. Did you see Bookmarks festival is going to happen this year? 4y
DGRachel @Graciouswarriorprincess No, I didn‘t know that. Is that a Fall thing or a Spring thing (I can‘t remember)? (edited) 4y
SaturnDoo Oh I recently read this and that first vignette(I think it was) was pretty UGGHHH 😂.... 😞 😨 😩 Although this wasn't my favorite work by him, it was still an ok read for me. 4y
DGRachel @SaturnDoo I wasn‘t a fan of the boogers story but I loved all of the others 4y
