so-soWTF was that?! I‘ve listened to the entire story, but I‘m still not sure I have a clue what just happened. How big is the age gap between them? Should they really be together? Is that peach thing even physically possible? I am so torn about this one. I want to like it. I want to hate it. I‘m just not sure what happened or why. What just happened here?

CarolynM I didn‘t like this (nor the movie) as much as a lot of people seem to. I think Elio is about 16 and the other one (can‘t remember the name - I found him a really flat character) early 20‘s. The peach thing - yuck!! 2y
GingerAntics @CarolynM I mean, I grew up with a bunch of boys. I‘m the only girl in my generation so the peach thing is kind of 🤷🏼♀️ to me… I just don‘t think it‘s possible. Yeah, Oliver is at least at the university level, if not graduate level. I think that part was really off putting to me. It didn‘t come across as “coming of age” so much as statutory rape. 2y
