Real talk, has anyone ever come across queer cozy mysteries? I would figuratively kill to have a queer lady protagonist. Truly, I would. I will fully fund a writer who wants to author a queer cozy mystery series. (particularly a series that has to do with food. But I won't complain. Literally any cozy mystery series with a queer woman as protag plzzzzzzz.) #ilovecozies #butmaybemakethemqueerplz
youngreadrshelf Ellen Hart's Jane Lawless series I think falls in that category. 8y
Broke_Girl_Reads Would also figuratively kill for a follow thread feature on Litsy so I can spy on all the recs you get for this 👀 8y
Bibliogeekery I feel like @CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian might have some suggestions for you on this one! 8y

Vultures at Twilight: First in series featuring lesbian sleuths Lil and Ada
ReadingEnvy Wellll not cozy but I adore the Poppy Z Brite novels like 8y
Liquor: A Novel
moranadatter If I were going to compile a list, I'd start with the Lambda and Bisexual Book Award Winners / nominees in the mystery category and look for cozies. 8y
youngreadrshelf @lemonlime799 there is also a pi in NYC who lives with her partner. It might fall in this category. I just need to think about it a bit. You see, I love mysteries. 8y
youngreadrshelf Ok, thought of 2 more: Kate Martinelli series. Not really cozy because she's a detective in San Francisco. And Lauren Laurano series. She's a PI in NYC. Not sure how cozy this one is because it's been a number of years. 8y
youngreadrshelf A funny one is Nancy Clue by Mabel Maney. She pokes fun at Nancy Drew. 8y
queerbookreader @youngreadrshelf @kmdartist @ReadingEnvy Thank you all so much!! I'll check out that lambda list too @Broke_Girl_Reads here's more recs 8y
Lindy How about a gay cozy mystery series with food and travel? 8y
Amuse Bouche
Lindy I agree with @youngreadrshelf - Jane Lawless even runs a restaurant. 8y
moranadatter Ooh... This looks good. She's a bookstore owner. Only two books in the series though. 8y
Unexpected Sparks
moranadatter And I forgot about Sisters in Crime. They have a list of LGBTQ mystery writers. It's just a list of writers, but it's another place to start. http://www.sistersincrime.org/page/FrankiesList 8y
ReadingEnvy Wow so many great suggestions!!! 8y
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian @Bibliogeekery I'm afraid mysteries are a pretty new genre for me. I'd start by looking at lambda mystery winners too! 8y
Broke_Girl_Reads Wow! Thanks for keeping me in the thread @lemonlime799 ! I can't wait to find all these books. #everyoneisgay2K17 8y
