bookishkai @saguarosally I highly highly recommend The Children, which is about the Civil Rights Movement; it follows the young college students who integrated the lunch counters in Nashville through the Freedom Rides and voter rights and on into present day. It's SO good. I haven't read The Fifties, but it's on my list. 8y
