I don‘t think I‘ll finish Mexican Gothic tonight because it‘s too creepy to read after dark, so here‘s my August wrap-up. This was the worst month in terms of total books finished that I‘ve had in a year. I bailed on at least three eBooks. On the bright side, 5 of the 6 I finished were 4-star reads. Only Addis Ababa Noir was a disappointment. #augustsummary #augustwrapup

I feel like I read a lot of mediocre books in August, plus I've been distracted. Anyway, Hunger was the one that made me feel and think the most, which makes it my top choice. As the month ended, I had three books in progress. #augustsummary #bestofthemonth

Today isn't over, but aside from the audiobook I'm almost finished with, the stats won't change before the end of the day.

So, here's my August summary! I thought I was way behind this month, maybe because I had no time to read physical books.

While I had a few 5 stars, the one that stood out the most was Between the Word and and Me.
